Appropriate submissions include programs, demonstrations, teaching techniques, games, networking ideas, models, research tools, and educational materials. LENGTH
Approximately 900 words, not to exceed 4 typewritten, double-spaced pages including references, illustrations and figures (not including the title page). Each manuscript page is numbered in the upper right-hand corner and each line is numbered consecutively.

Indicate why the GEM will be of interest to readers
Indicate whether all authors approved the submission
Full title page
Complete title of GEM
Complete names of all authors and their academic degrees and affiliations

Include only the complete title of the GEM, with no identifying information
Abstract
GEMs do not require abstracts. However, please provide 2 to 3 sentences summarizing the educational program or tool being evaluated and the results of the evaluation (50 words maximum). This ‘abstract’ file will be sent in an email to request reviewers and it will not be part of the GEMs publication.

Describe why the program/activity is worth reading about
Body/Content
State the target audience and note adaptability of program to different audiences
State the purpose/objective of the program/activity
Describe how one would implement the program/activity
Describe how the program/activity has been evaluated and with what results
Describe plans for future refinement/use if applicable
Describe the application or use of theory and/or models to program design and/or evaluation, if appropriate
Figures
1 or 2 preferred-use figures that enhance GEM description (photos should meet this requirement and not simply show authors or participants)
Include caption on page separate from figure
Refer to each figure in the text
For recognizable photo(s), include release form(s) from subject(s)
Notes/References
Number references in the order they appear in text (see Author Guidelines for details on references)
Notes may include information on how to obtain materials
Include note about approval from human subjects committee if the GEM report evaluation results involve subjects
Include acknowledgement of technical assistance, sources of financial support, or collaborators (if applicable)
