According to the foreword, the Nutrition Society was established in 1941 in the United
Kingdom to address nutrition concerns during World War II and to “advance the scientific
study of nutrition and its application to the maintenance of human and animal health.”
The Nutrition Society published Nutrition Research Methodologies as their sixth textbook. In my opinion, this book is an outstanding resource for
nutrition researchers or professors teaching graduate-level nutrition research courses,
because the content is extremely in-depth and written at an appropriate level for
current and future nutrition researchers.
