Llewellyn and Syrad's An Appetite for Life provides an overview of the current scientific evidence and recommendations on how
to feed your child during the first 1000 days of life. The book is divided into 4
parts: Pregnancy and the Early Days; Milk-Feeding; Introducing Solid Foods; and Early
Childhood. Each of the 4 parts has several chapters that go into great detail on the
current findings available on feeding young children. All the chapters end with a
summary of main points, which the authors refer to as “The Bottom Line” and is where
readers can find the key takeaways from the chapter.
