SoTL in Action, Illuminating Critical Moments of Practice, edited by Nancy L. Chick, is a valuable resource that examines the foundation of
the scholarship of teaching and learning (SoTL) and describes numerous ways to implement
SoTL into practice. The contributors of this book are each individually recognized
for their extensive expertise in SoTL within their wide range of disciplines. As a
result, many perspectives, experiences, and ideas are shared, some of which may be
more useful than others for faculty who teach courses pertaining to nutrition education
and behavior. This book is clearly designed to meet the needs of faculty across all
disciplines. The main text of this book is sectioned into 3 parts: Part 1: Strong
Foundations, Part 2: Methods and Methodologies, and Part 3: Making an Impact.
