Healthy for Life 20 By 20! is a free, evidence-based, easy-to-follow curriculum designed for a community-based
healthy lifestyle education primarily for adults. Healthy for Life 20 By 20! was created by the American Heart Association and Aramark to improve the health of
all Americans by 20% by 2020. The curriculum allows facilitators to engage and empower
communities by teaching the knowledge and skills to make healthy lifestyle choices.
The program promotes an increase in fruits, vegetables, and whole grain consumption
and in physical activity while decreasing the consumption of sodium and saturated
fats. Healthy for Life 20 By 20! is applicable for paraprofessionals to use in settings such as food banks, wellness
organizations, high school or middle school curricula, and/or grocery stores.
