A National Strategy to Reduce Food Waste at the Consumer Level.

      With nearly one third of food in the US being wasted, food waste has received a great deal of attention. As our interest in supporting planetary health and reducing our environmental footprint grows, a discussion of food waste becomes inevitable. The Walmart Foundation and the Foundation for Food and Agriculture Research funded the National Academies of Science, Engineering, and Medicine to assess the research available on how to reduce consumer food waste and create a national framework to address this important issue.
