Amy R. Mobley is currently an Associate Professor and Graduate Program Coordinator in Health Education and Behavior at the University of Florida (UF). Prior to her time at UF, Dr. Mobley was an Assistant/Associate Professor of Nutritional Sciences at the University of Connecticut, Clinical Assistant Professor of Foods and Nutrition at Purdue University, Nutrition Communication Contractor at the National Institutes of Health, and prior to earning her PhD, she was a Nutrition Educator and Communications Manager for the Dairy Council Mideast in Ohio.
Dr. Mobley received her PhD in Nutrition with an emphasis in Public Health from the University of Maryland, a MS in Human Nutrition from The Ohio State University, and a BS in Applied Nutrition from The Pennsylvania State University. She is also a registered dietitian and a fellow of the Academy of Nutrition and Dietetics. Dr. Mobley has over 20 years of experience in community nutrition research and outreach specifically related to nutrition education and obesity prevention. Her goal is to better understand the multiple influences on dietary behavior and to develop corresponding interventions to improve health especially in underserved populations.
Dr. Mobley has served as an adhoc reviewer and on the Board of Editors for JNEB and is a member of the Journal Committee. She has been recognized several times with the Silver Author Award for JNEB and was awarded the Nutrition Education Research Award from SNEB in 2021.
In her spare time, she enjoys running, traveling, and spending time with her family and rescue dog, Rocky.
